We have a new web application at http://mcdc.missouri.edu/cgi-bin/broker?_PROGRAM=websas.sf12010x_extract_menu.sas&_SERVICE=appdev&st that is intended to make it easier for users to do basic extracts of the data in SF1. It accesses the standard extract data sets rather than the full detailed-table sets (i.e. in the mcdc archive lingo it reference filetype sf12010x rather than sf12010).
It's basically just a dexter preprocessor. You get to make 4 choices: state, counties (optional), summary levels, and data categories. It takes your choices and creates a dexter query form page which you can then submit as-is to get your extrct (in csv file format) or you can edit the form if you want to refine the extract (e.g. select a format in addition to or instead of csv).
This is brand new so it may still have some bugs in it. Let me know if you encounter any problems.
